Application for a new passport
Eligibility:
Applicant should be ordinarily resident of Oman.
Application for re-issue of passport can be submitted:

If the final validity of the passport is less than one year or
within one year of expiry of the passport;
›
On exhaustion of pages or on change in appearance.
Requirements:
Applicant should come personally or the documents should have been verified by the
Honorary Consular Agent
authorized by the Embassy.
Passport application
duly filled in along with present passport.
In case present passport is an additional booklet, previous passport is
also required.
Two latest identical passport size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm without
border), in plane white back ground and dress in dark colour.
Guidelines:
In cases where the passport has already expired beyond a period of one
year, applicant should submit a
delay affidavit joint affidavit signed by
both husband and -wife, along with a joint photograph and photocopy of
the spouse (Husband/wife's) passport, if any. Kindly also note that
Marriage certificate issued by Church and Quasi's certificate (with a
certified translation) in the case of Muslims can also be given as proof
of marriage.
Submit original of proof of new address (returnable) and its photocopy
(self attested) viz. Ration Card, Voter's identity card,
water/electricity bill, running bank account only if
there is a change in the permanent address:
If the application is found to be in order and no prior reference is
required to be made to the original Passport Issuing Authority, a new
passport is usually around 5-6 working days from the date of receipt of
the application.
If the passport is required urgently, applicant can
apply under Tatkaal (Urgent) Passport Scheme.Tatkaal Passport Fee :
