Message From Ambassador

It is a great privilege and honour for me to serve as the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman. Oman and India, maritime neighbours, linked through history and culture, enjoy friendly ties. Both the countries accord a high importance to their relationship, which is broad-based and comprehensive, imbued with strategic significance, reflected in excellent political ties, regular high-level visits and meetings, cooperation at regional and global fora, ever expanding defence and security cooperation, growing bilateral trade and investment and increasing cultural, educational and tourism exchanges. It will be my endeavour to work with the Government of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said to further expand and deepen the strategic partnership and cooperation between India and Oman.

A large and growing Indian community lives in Oman under the benevolent care and patronage of His Majesty's Government and warm, hospitable and friendly people of Oman. Their vital contribution to progress and prosperity of both Oman and India is well-recognized and appreciated. The Government of India is committed to promoting the welfare of the Indian community in Oman and it will be my endeavour to work in close coordination and cooperation with His Majesty's Government and the Indian Community in Oman to promote the welfare of the Indian community and provide various consular, passport and visa services in an efficient and timely manner.
