The Embassy is pleased to inform you that the Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCI), a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Shipping, is looking for an International Marketing Consultant to assist DCI in promoting Dredging, Land Reclamation and Marine services to Major ports and other maritime organizations.


DCI has successfully undertaken several Capital Dredging and Land reclamation projects and annual maintenance dredging of Major and Minor ports in India, Indian Navy, Shipyard since 1977. DCI is also equipped with computer systems with integrated data processing facility for communicating with the projects located in different Projects.


DCI has issued notice inviting International competitive bidding for a suitable Marketing Consultant on long term basis from overseas, having infrastructure and interest in promoting DCI’s business and to assist DCI in project execution. Inauguration of Indian Calligraphy Exhibition by His Excellency Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, Advisor to His Majesty Sultan for Cultural Affairs on 20th March 2017. The exhibition will remain on display till 25th March 2017 at Omani Society for Fine Arts during visiting hours from 9 am to 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm to 8 pm. All are requested to visit.


FESTIVAL OF INDIA IN OMAN CONCLUDES WITH INDIAN FOOD FESTIVAL AT GRAND HYATT (15-19 MARCH 2017): The much-awaited Indian Food Festival in Oman was inaugurated on 15th March 2017 evening at Grand Hyatt in a ceremony full of Indian instrumental music, classical and folk dance, ghazals and Bollywood songs. His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed bin Said Al Mahrooqi, Under Secretary for Heritage, Ministry of Heritage and Culture of Oman, was the Chief Guest. The Opening ceremony was also attended by HE Nasser Mohammed Khaleefa Al Busaidi, Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Hilal Marhoon Salem Al Ma’amari, Chief of West Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and HE Saif Mohammed Al Ruzaiqi, Adviser Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Over 300 prominent Omanis, including businesspersons and officials, Ambassadors, members of diplomatic corps, expatriates and members of Indian community were present at the opening ceremony. The Indian Food Festival at Grand Hyatt will conclude on 19th March, 2017.
