General information about Consular services



With the aim of further facilitating applicants through our website, we have put together information for you on our services and fee. The information covers details about Passport services, Visa services, Attestation services, OCI/PIO services, Registration of marriage, Registration of death, Emergency certificate, Applying for Indian citizenship, Surrender of Indian passport, Registration of Indian nationals and Honorary Consular agents.

With effect from January 01, 2015, Indian Embassy in Muscat has outsourced its Passport and Visa services through open bidding process to M/s. BLS International Services LLC-Oman. All Passport and Visa applications are being accepted and delivered only at the Indian Passport & Visa Service Centre of M/s. BLS International Services LLC-Oman located at: 4th Floor (C Block), Al Tamimah Building (Polyglot Institute) Way No 327, Building No 1340 Wattayah, Muscat.

The centre is open from 8am to 8pm from Saturday to Thursday. Tokens are issued from 8am to 12.30 and from 1.30 to 7pm for Passport and Visa services. The serviced documents can be collected from the service centre between 5.30 p.m to 7.30 p.m on all working days. The service charges for passport service is 450 Baiza, Visa service is RO 1.650 and for attestation 550 Baizas. The centre also provides additional services which are fully optional in nature like- filling of application, sms facility, courier facility, photocopying and photo studio facilities. It is reiterated that availing any of these facilities is not mandatory. You may also visit M/s BLS website www.blsindia-oman.com for additional information about the centre. Attestation services, Solemnization and Registration of marriage etc. have been outsourced to M/S BLS International. These services are carried out in the Embassy of India premise at Diplomatic Area, Al Khuwair. However, Diplomatic / official visa will be handled directly by the Embassy of India, Muscat.

Events

Inauguration of Indian Calligraphy Exhibition by His Excellency Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, Advisor to His Majesty Sultan for Cultural Affairs on 20th March 2017. The exhibition will remain on display till 25th March 2017 at Omani Society for Fine Arts during visiting hours from 9 am to 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm to 8 pm. All are requested to visit.

 

FESTIVAL OF INDIA IN OMAN CONCLUDES WITH INDIAN FOOD FESTIVAL AT GRAND HYATT (15-19 MARCH 2017): The much-awaited Indian Food Festival in Oman was inaugurated on 15th March 2017 evening at Grand Hyatt in a ceremony full of Indian instrumental music, classical and folk dance, ghazals and Bollywood songs. His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed bin Said Al Mahrooqi, Under Secretary for Heritage, Ministry of Heritage and Culture of Oman, was the Chief Guest. The Opening ceremony was also attended by HE Nasser Mohammed Khaleefa Al Busaidi, Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Hilal Marhoon Salem Al Ma’amari, Chief of West Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and HE Saif Mohammed Al Ruzaiqi, Adviser Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Over 300 prominent Omanis, including businesspersons and officials, Ambassadors, members of diplomatic corps, expatriates and members of Indian community were present at the opening ceremony. The Indian Food Festival at Grand Hyatt will conclude on 19th March, 2017.
