Sohar University received Indian
Ambassador, H.E. Anil Wadhwa who made a private visit to the
university last Monday, strengthening the bonds of relation and
cooperation between the Indian Embassy in Oman and the University.
Various facets of cooperation between the two parties were
discussed.
University President Dr. Aboud Hamad al Sawafi received H.E. Ambassador at his office in the University. Sawafi briefed him about the University, its developments and achievements have in the past years. He also described the major future development plans. Then both parties discussed the facets of cooperation and exchanged views on the means and methods of expanding the prevailing relations. At the end of the meeting and before a tour of the premises, they exchanged mementos. H.E. the Indian Ambassador and his accompanying delegation visited the Education Resource Centre in the University along with Dr. Sawafi and other University officials.
As usual, the University extended a warm welcome to the guest. The delegation hailed the quality of work in the Sohar University and the excellent academic steps taken. Ambassador Wadhwa also expressed the need for high level coordination and future expectations for a wide range of cooperation between two parties. He also hailed the good name enjoyed by the University graduates for their academic excellence which was reflected in their workplace.
